Current August Favourites.

Hey Guys!

As August nears it's ending and we enter September I am excited because it will be my birthday soon! But also sad because summer will be over and I will now have to start my first year of college in fact this Friday is my first day and I haven't started my assignments yet (I should probably do them after this post right?)

Anyway this month I have found a few things that I've been loving a lot and wanted to share them with you.

Illamasqua Blusher in Tremble - A lovely coral pink blush that is easy to apply and very well pigmented. I've loved using Tremble this month as it adds a certain oomph and warmth to my pale skin, it gives life to my blank face which I really need to look like I'm still a human being rather than a lifeless body (I genuinely am that pale,oh the joys haha)

MAC Lipstick in Offshoot-This little beauty has made it into my current favourites posts before, and was in my FOTD post last week. It's a beautiful 'your lips but better' shade, with hints of deep pink, I love how versatile the lipstick is and how it can really complete a look.

Revlon Nail Polish in Siren-I think this is the perf-ect summer colour, this summer I've really loved orange nails (I have this nail polish on as we speak!) Siren is a bright and vibrant orange which really stands out, I think I'll still love it as autumn draws.

Benefit Creaseless Eyeshadow in Birthday Suit-I have rediscovered my love for Birthday Suit and I don't know why I stopped using it, It's a elegant shimmery gold toned eyeshadow and I think it's absolutely perfect for the lid and inner eye, I really like pairing it with Urban Decay's Busted.

L'OREAL Skin Perfection-I cannot recommend this product enough, it is my favourite skincare product. I use it to remove excess make-up and it removes every inch of makeup on my face completely clean therefore clearing my teenage spot prone skin to settle down a lot. 

Real Techniques Eyeshadow Crease Brush-Although it says eyeshadow brush I use it to blend my Bobbi Brown corrector under my eyes and it blends exceptionally well, it doesn't leave streaks and helps me cover my undereye circles well.

H&M Gold Double Chain Necklace-The perfect statement necklace to wear with everyday basics to up the style factor a bit, I usually wear the necklace with a jumper or boyfriend tee, plain shirts or dresses so it can bring an outfit together and make an effortless outfit seem like I spent more time on it than I really did.

Ebay Winnie The Pooh Ipod Case- I've wanted a new ipod case for a quite a while now and found this one on ebay, they're everywhere on ebay and have other characters like Stitch,Minnie and Mickey Mouse. I L-O-V-E how cute it it on my Ipod, the inner child in me screams with happiness every time I look at it, it's just a really cute case that provides me with some amusement when I'm out and about.

FOTD - Everyday Face #2

Hey Guys!

Today I want to do a little Everyday Makeup post, I love seeing products people use and how it looks on the actual face instead of the back of a hand, so I'm going to start doing some more FOTD's to show the makeup looks I like to wear. In general I wear the same base products, but my eyes,cheeks and lips are usually changed up and mixed around so I will blog those every once in awhile(hopefully every week!)

MAC lipstick in Offshoot Sorry for the amount of pictures, I wanted to try and show everything well, I like to wear this look a lot because it's not too much or little, for me I find it a good balance to wear everyday in and out, sometimes I pair two blushes together to get a new shade altogether or to make it more of a gradual build up to a warmer tone and thats what I did with this look. My favourite palette to use for any everyday face is the Naked 2 because it has a wide range of shades aka a lot of combinations to try out and wear or to pair with a different eyeshadow like the Birthday Suit, I've recently started wearing it again after finding it hidden in my makeup collect and rest assured I will not be forgetting it.

MAC Fix+ Review.

Hey Guys!

Hope you've had a lovely week; I wanted to blog earlier in the week but I've been finding it quite hard to take pictures during the week with school and what not; yesterday I had a rather big photo session with products that I want to review so there should be a problem any more!

In September I received MAC's Fix+ for my birthday; I was super excited to try it as I had seen a few review on it saying that it was quite a good product. Fix+ is designed as a water based product of vitamins and minerals; containing a blend of green tea,chamomile, cucumber and sugi to calm the skin, add radiance and finish of make-up.

 I think the first thing to make note of is that Fix+ is not a setting spray; it doesn't make your make-up last for longer; some people may find this happens to them but it isn't the purpose of the product, and I personally haven't found that fix+ makes my make-up last longer.

Fix+ is designed to refresh the skin and give a natural finish to the face, this is something it does do. When I use fix+ I usually apply it before putting my make-up on; to be honest there is not much difference in applying it before or after, I apply before make-up as I have slightly oily skin, I find that applying it before gives the finish of my make-up a dewy finish without looking too oily.

 I have the 100ml bottle which is £13.50, which is probably the con of this product which would make me question whether or not to buy it again; although the Fix+ does as it claims and is indeed a good product I wouldn't find it a necessity for myself, I could live without this product without much fuss, it is nice to have and gives a good finish yes but if I was really bothered I could use a dewy finish foundation which would do the same would it not?

 Overall I do enjoy the MAC Fix+ and will continue to use the bottle I have as there is not reason why I shouldn't; it doesn't break me out or anything along those lines however because of the price I'm not sure if I would buy again, maybe if I had some spare cash lying around to spend then I would; which is possibly what I would recommend to you guys; if you have some spare money and want to try a new product then this would be a good choice to try out.

October Favourites.

Hey Guys!

Today's the last day of October, the months are going by so fast..it's not too long till Christmas now haha. This month I haven't been that taken away with much, even still there are a few items that I have been loving!

Urban Decay Naked Palette 2 - Last month I won this baby in Laura's giveaway, I was super excited, and I love it, the neutral shades all pack on a good pigment and are really versatile, my favourites at the moment are Suspect and Snakebite, they good really well with each other.

MAC Ruby Woo - I recently did a review of Ruby Woo here but a quick run down : it is beautiful, haha that's the easiest way to describe it, I've been liking wearing a more bold lip in autumn, so I'm looking forward to continue wearing it.

Revlon Calcium Gel Nail Hardending Polish - A purchase from August that I didn't think about mentioning on my blog for some silly reason, this Revlon product is basically a nail hardening gel, I use it every other day and there has been a noticeable improvement in the strength of my nails.

Real Techniques Setting Brush - A fairly new purchase, this brush is so small and cute, I think it would be perfect for using to highlight cheekbones, but personally I use it to apply blush, which may seem a bit strange, but I like that as it's smaller than a normal blush brush it is more compact to use.

So that's this months favourites, Happy Halloween, hope you guys have fun today, my day will consist of returning to Oxford Street to get the bag I somehow managed to forget down there!

MAC Ruby Woo Review.

Hey Guys!

Today I'm back and wanted to do a blog post on my current favourite lipstick Ruby Woo by MAC. Recently I've decided that this autumn/winter I want to try to pull off bolder lip colours, Ruby Woo is one of these colours and I have been loving it!

 Ruby Woo is a true red matte MAC lipstick, which means that it will contain more pigment but not give off a shine, some people say that matte lipsticks are harder to apply as they are more dry, I find that lip balm before applying my lipsticks always works and especially in the case of a matte lipstick, the smoothness of the lip balm defuses the dryness making it easy to apply to the lips. Ruby Woo is a true red, there is no doubt about that, I really like how the red tones are bold but not too in your face (although pictures of me wearing it may say differently,haha)

I really like to wear Ruby Woo to spice up an outfit, if i'm looking slightly plain in clothes I like to wear this red lipstick to brighten up the outfit, I think that Ruby Woo is quite versatile in its wearability, however as it is a red I wouldn't personally pair it with an outfit that is very bold and I keep my make-up a little more toned down so that the colours do not clash, sometimes when you see people wearing a bold outfit with bold blusher and red lipstick you don't know where to look because there's so much going on, if you know what I mean.

As with any lipstick I have to reapply during the day, which is no hassle to be honest, but I find that I am more conscience on topping it up as if the fading of the lipstick is uneven it can look a bit ridiculous! What I love about red lipsticks, in particular Ruby Woo is that it would suit everyone, so I would definitely recommend Ruby Woo to anyone, something I would suggest but some of you may know already is if you do have/purchase Ruby Woo or any red lipstick for that matter pick up a red lip liner too, it can be a high street one, I bought Sleek's Rouge for myself because it was cheaper and seems good quality, the only reason I would highly suggest a lip liner is because red lipsticks tend to bleed out, the lip liner will help this not happen, so in the long run it is worth it.

Overall I really love this lipstick, I would repurchase the £13.50 lipstick again from MAC, it is truly the perfect red, lasts a decent amount of time and will be a really good lipstick shade to have in the pot for this season.

MAC Fanfare Lipstick Review.

Hey Guys!

Today's review is going to be on a MAC lipstick called 'Fanfare' this lipstick was my first lipstick from MAC that I got *I think..maybe my memory has gone to coo-coo land though!* but for some reason I've been neglecting it..until recently when I wore it on a whim and remember now why I like this lipstick so much.

Fanfare is a lovely deep pink lipstick with slight hints on yellow undertones. Being a cream sheen finish the lipstick is prone to give moisture, high pigmentation and shine, I can definitely say that all these three boxes are ticked, when I apply Fanfare and rub my lips together they feel moisturised..almost like a lip balm but not to as much extent of one. As for the pigmentation this bad boy is packed with it, I only have to apply one coat of this for my average everyday wear which is good as it means more lipstick for me! The shine of Fanfare is not too overpowering, not enough to look like a lip gloss but enough to catch light and bounce it's shine off which to my surprise is quite flattering on.

As for how wearable this lipstick is, I would have so say it does a excellent job of being versatile, I think Fanfare looks good paired with a gold/brown smokey eye, something else I would say about Fanfare is because it is a pink toned lipstick it is more wearable in the Spring/Summer months, however saying this due to it's more deep colouring I wouldn't write it off for the colder months. Fanfare wears well, a good few hours before I usually re-apply, lately I have been wearing the lipstick with a nude lip liner and find that the pink stays on better with it under. Something I like about this lipstick in particular is how build-able it is, it can be used to create a lovely mid-deep pink lip or be built upon to make a bolder deep pink lip.

Packaging wise, it is the standard MAC black packaging which is very familiar to every blogger I'm sure, therefore I find no faults in the slender and simple packaging, it is very appealing to all people I find. Priced at £14 for Fanfare, or in fact any MAC lipstick this is a decent price for a high end brand, when compared to Nars lipsticks priced at £17.50 a go, even though there is not much difference the saying 'Every penny counts' comes to mind!

Overall I love this lipstick, I can't quite believe that I neglected it as there is nothing wrong with it at all...oh well all is good now. If you are on the slightly paler end of the skin tone scale or have green eyes I would recommend you check this out as it compliments very nicely, saying that I can't see this lipstick looking particularly unflattering on anyone to be honest, I find no faults in Fanfare and I am happy that I got this lipstick!

MAC Blushbaby Review.

Hey Guys!

Today I have a little review for you on one of my favourite blushers. A considerable under rated MAC blusher that I have found to be extremely versatile for myself is called 'Blushbaby'.

 Blushbaby is a warm mocha toned blush with a sheer tone finish, this means that it gives a healthy glow to the skin with a gentle flush of colour, I give it preps the blush that can also be used as contour has this description down to a t, it is amazingly build able but looks best gentle as it gives colour and definition to the face without being too overpoweringly obvious.  

 One of the things I love about this blusher is it's versatility, I can use it with my Real Techniques Contour Brush and apply lightly as a contour or I can use my Elf Blush Brush and give a coloured definition on my cheekbones. As for how long it last's I can't say it does as amazingly as some of my other favourite blushers, however it does not last any less than the average blusher and fairly should not be frowned apon.

 I would certainly recommend this blusher to someone of a pale completion as nicely contrasts the pale coloured skin giving a more radiant tone, saying this I do not think that this blush wouldn't suit anyone as a blusher or as a contour colour.  

Overall I am very impressed with this blusher and am pleased I have it in my collection, I would definitely repurchase if it ever came to the day that I finished it (I doubt I will ever finish any blusher, there's too much!) It is easily wearable and versatile in usage making it almost a two in one haha!

July Favourites.

Hey Guys!

July is almost over, so that means it's favourites time! I didn't think I was going to do a favourites this month because I feel like I'm using the same products I used last month, however when I thought about the products that I've been loving recently it became apparent that my favourites this month are either newly bought in the month or products I've started to reuse again!

Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation - After all the hype about this product and wanting to try a new foundation I gave in, which I'm happy I did, it gives good coverage and has a dewy finish that makes the skin glow.

Bobbi Brown Corrector - A product I have neglected for a little while, after finally admitting to myself that the collection concealer is not for me I went back to my true favourite, I rarely use concealer but when I do this covers any imperfections amazingly.

Origins Perfect World Moisturiser - This was in my favourites last month too, all I can say is it is amazing and does what it says on the packaging ( an antioxidant and keeps the skin looking fresh and clearer)

Topshop Head Over Heels and MAC Blushbaby - My current favourite blushers, you can read my full review of Head Over Heels here but it is a lovely fresh coral, and Blushbaby I love to use at the top of my cheek to give a slight contour effect.

Today I took some fotd and ootd photo's but decided to go with the fotd one since I've never done one before and also when I take ootd photo's on my own like today it's harder to get a good background because of my house and limited access to nice background scenery...I'll crop around and see how much I like them then!

I can't believe there here already, I'm going to try my best to not waste them and actually go out to places and do things, also I have a work experience at the enter of August doing radio presenting on the Under-age Festival which I'm excited for so hopefully during the summer I will be blogging more!

June Favourites.

Origins-A Perfect World Moisturizer and Benefit-Porefessional.

My two favourite skin products of the month, the origins moisturizer is the best product ever..it really does clear and help protect skin against antioxidants and the Porefessional does a really good job at making skin look more flawless.

Mac-Blushbaby, Rimmel London-Stay Matte Powder, Fratboy-theBlam.

I love the combination of using Blushbaby and theBalm, they go really well together. Stay Matte is the perfect translucent powder without paying a fortune. 

Jimmy Choo and Benefit-So hooked on Carmella perfume's.

Carmella a well known favourite in the blogging and youtube world is a lovely coconut scented perfume and with it being summer I love to use it, even if the weather isn't all that. Jimmy Choo is that perfume that ever girl has that makes her feel a million pounds and this would be my one.

I won't say much about the MUA palette as I have already done a full review of it here and the Topshop necklace I found in the sale a few weeks back and everyday I go out (when I'm out of uniform) I where it, it is such a versatile piece and go with everything!

Review&Swatches: Mac Chatterbox Lipstick.

My newest make-up purchase has definitely satisfied my summer make-up collection..for now at least, I bought Mac Chatterbox last Wednesday I do believe and have been in love with it since, so I thought I'd do a quick review on it for you guys :) 

With an Amplified finish, these babies are jam packed with colour and a creamy feel on the lips, as my first Amplified MAC lipstick I can say that they do live up to this expectation. I don't need to go over my lips a thousand times over with this lipstick, simply a swipe does the trip, or if like me you need to have the lipstick perfect and full then two, not only is the colour a gorgeous yellow toned coral pink, it is also very creamy and feels nice on the lips. I would say that for paler skin tones  (eg. Like me NW15) this is great if you want a bright pink without looking too in your face, it's a great summer colour to be used by anyone, I don't think this would look bad on anyone to be honest.

I can't fault this product at all and would repurchase if I ran out.
