RESTARTING THIS??

So it feels like an awfully long time since I wrote one of these things or even really looked deeper into the blogging word than a post.

I stopped blogging two years-ish ago. I found managing school work, a social life and a blog a task and that never what I wanted my blog to feel like. Now however I've recently turned 19, I'm going off to university next week (eek!) and I feel I am ready to restart this blog again. I'v wanted to for some time now, but time organisation hasn't been my strongest point, however with this new fresh start I feel I have the chance to get back into something I really enjoyed doing. I want to make more reviews, makeup looks, personal opinion posts and really whatever the hell I want to put on here.

I highly doubt after two years of silence anyone would remember my blog or is even reading this post as I type, but I want to write it. Over the next few days I'm going to give my blog a bit of a re-vamp and catch up on just some basic blogging 101 that I've become out the loop of and then next week hopefully write my first new post!

Well its currently 1:43am and I don't have much else to say except I'm extremely tired and think I should end this blog post before it turns into a book.

If anyone is by chance is reading this and has some tips or blog posts about blogging nowadays or when chats on twitter are or something I'd be more than happy to have the help! haha.

Well I guess it's good night from me :)

What's In My School Makeup Bag.

Hey Guys
Last week I started my first week of college,I've had to try to get used to my new surroundings over the past week, I haven't really been around the blogging world last week but now I know a little bit of what to expect and am starting to settle in a bit gradually I think I can find the balance of everything, including blogging!
I've found that to school I don't wear as much makeup as I thought I would,I did for the first day or two but to be honest I think I'm just too lazy to do too much in the morning so things like eyeshadow and liner I haven't worn a lot so far, however I know during the day I need to top up my makeup a bit to get rid of that shine and give me some colour.
With all the other essentials I need with me for school I think a compact small makeup case is vital, this one is from Primark and it fits everything I need easily leaving room in there too, it slips nicely into my school bag without any nuisance. I've also seen in Urban Outfitters they have some pretty cute make up cases recently, and Topshop usually do some nice ones in the A/W time if you're looking for a new one.
Content of the makeup bag:
Elf Flat top Powder Brush
Elf Blush Brush
Illamasqua 'Katie' Blush
Maybelline Fit Me Powder
Nuxe Lipbalm
MAC 'Offshoot' Lipstick
Lip Liners 'Spice' by Rimmel London and 'Nude' by No 7
Muji Eyelash curlers
Mint Chewing Gum
Tissues
These are the items that you can find in my makeup bag, I usually also have a mini perfume from The Body Shop in 'Coconut' or a small deodorant but I seem to have lost both of these over the weekend..(hmm)
I would highly recommend all these specific products but also recommend using them as a guideline of what to bring, even though I'm sure you don't need 3 lip shades, I seem to just chuck them into my bag and go and collect them all in the makeup bag!

I hope this post was useful to you or was just something nice to read!

Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in Birthday Suit.

Hey Guys!
Today I really wanted to review a product I have rekindled my love for recently, Benefit's Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in Birthday Suit that was mentioned in my August Favourites!
I think quite a lot of bloggers know about this range, it's been around for quite a while so is by no means new to the bloggers world, but I think Birthday Suit is an extremely under rated shade in the collection Benefit have. The packaging is quite cute and dinky I think, it's very sturdy worry not about it mysteriously breaking on you however I'm not all too sure I'm keen on the doves, there's something about them I don't fina all too appealing, Benefit have had better designs I guess is the way to put it, but after such a while owning it I have gotten used to it and overlooked it.
Onto Birthday Suit itself it's a light shimmery gold cream eyeshadow with a slight taupe undertone, I think gold tones look great on anyone and really brighten the eyes up (who doesn't want that ay?!) Birthday Suit is a cream eyeshadow, with a soft texture and a kind of creamy fluffiness to it that makes it lovely and smooth to touch, because of this I don't really want to get my fingers messy so apply it with a synthetic brush as the bristles are better made to pick up the product and apply straight to the eyelid. When I first got Birthday Suit I didn't think it would be well pigmented at all, I thought I would need to have a few goes applying it to get a noticeable shade achieved however to my happy surprise I was mistaken as it is quite well pigmented so I don't have to "dig" my brush into it a lot (aka more product for me to use another time yay!)
I think that gold eyeshadows are really versatile shades, which makes Birthday Suit amazing to use any time,place,season..you get the jist haha, and I like that it's different to all my other gold eyeshadows because it's a cream shadow, it's unique and in my makeup collection at least it is a quirky minority which could possibly be why I favour it so much. I love to apply Birthday Suit to my lid and then blend it with powder eyeshadows like in my FOTD earlier, it works really well together with other colours and is just a nice change to use from the same palette I use everyday. As for the creaseless part of the title, I would highly recommend using a eye primer before applying this as I find it stays on better and really doesn't crease with some on, on the times I have forgotten to use primer that's when I find the eyeshadow gets a bit sloppy and just looks washed out.
Overall I think it's obvious I really like Benefit's Birthday Suit, and would recommend it to anyone wanting a new eyeshadow or perhaps to someone who has never tried a cream eyeshadow and wants to give it a go, just try to use it with a eye primer as it achieves a nicer look and the colour stays better. Retailing at £14 (or at the moment Benefit's website is telling me its £7!) I would say it's well worth the money and I would buy it again if I was to ever run out or lose it.

This week I've started my first week of college and I've been shattered! Such long days at least compared to what I'm used to, so I may be a little slacking in the social media department while I get to grips with my new scheduele that will become the death of me I'm sure of it, but I will may sure to post a few times every week (this Thursday is my birthday so I'm sure there will be plenty to blog about then haha)

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Current August Favourites.

Hey Guys!
As August nears it's ending and we enter September I am excited because it will be my birthday soon! But also sad because summer will be over and I will now have to start my first year of college in fact this Friday is my first day and I haven't started my assignments yet (I should probably do them after this post right?)
Anyway this month I have found a few things that I've been loving a lot and wanted to share them with you.
Illamasqua Blusher in Tremble - A lovely coral pink blush that is easy to apply and very well pigmented. I've loved using Tremble this month as it adds a certain oomph and warmth to my pale skin, it gives life to my blank face which I really need to look like I'm still a human being rather than a lifeless body (I genuinely am that pale,oh the joys haha)

MAC Lipstick in Offshoot-This little beauty has made it into my current favourites posts before, and was in my FOTD post last week. It's a beautiful 'your lips but better' shade, with hints of deep pink, I love how versatile the lipstick is and how it can really complete a look.

Revlon Nail Polish in Siren-I think this is the perf-ect summer colour, this summer I've really loved orange nails (I have this nail polish on as we speak!) Siren is a bright and vibrant orange which really stands out, I think I'll still love it as autumn draws.

Benefit Creaseless Eyeshadow in Birthday Suit-I have rediscovered my love for Birthday Suit and I don't know why I stopped using it, It's a elegant shimmery gold toned eyeshadow and I think it's absolutely perfect for the lid and inner eye, I really like pairing it with Urban Decay's Busted.

L'OREAL Skin Perfection-I cannot recommend this product enough, it is my favourite skincare product. I use it to remove excess make-up and it removes every inch of makeup on my face completely clean therefore clearing my teenage spot prone skin to settle down a lot.

Real Techniques Eyeshadow Crease Brush-Although it says eyeshadow brush I use it to blend my Bobbi Brown corrector under my eyes and it blends exceptionally well, it doesn't leave streaks and helps me cover my undereye circles well.

H&M Gold Double Chain Necklace-The perfect statement necklace to wear with everyday basics to up the style factor a bit, I usually wear the necklace with a jumper or boyfriend tee, plain shirts or dresses so it can bring an outfit together and make an effortless outfit seem like I spent more time on it than I really did.

Ebay Winnie The Pooh Ipod Case- I've wanted a new ipod case for a quite a while now and found this one on ebay, they're everywhere on ebay and have other characters like Stitch,Minnie and Mickey Mouse. I L-O-V-E how cute it it on my Ipod, the inner child in me screams with happiness every time I look at it, it's just a really cute case that provides me with some amusement when I'm out and about.

Hope you've enjoyed this post, what have your favourites been this month?

FOTD - Everyday Face #2

Hey Guys!
Today I want to do a little Everyday Makeup post, I love seeing products people use and how it looks on the actual face instead of the back of a hand, so I'm going to start doing some more FOTD's to show the makeup looks I like to wear. In general I wear the same base products, but my eyes, cheeks and lips are usually changed up and mixed around so I will blog those every once in awhile(hopefully every week!)

Products Used:
Origins Starting Over Moisturiser
Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum
Too Faced Eye Primer
Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in Birthday Suit (inner eyelid)
Urban Decay Naked Palette: Suspect (outer eyelid), Busted (crease), Bootycall (tear duct)
Bobbi Brown Corrector
No 7 360 Mascara
Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder
Topshop Highlighter in Crescent Moon (review here)
Illamasqua Blushes in Tremble and Katie (Katie review)

MAC lipstick in Offshoot Sorry for the amount of pictures, I wanted to try and show everything well, I like to wear this look a lot because it's not too much or little, for me I find it a good balance to wear everyday in and out, sometimes I pair two blushes together to get a new shade altogether or to make it more of a gradual build up to a warmer tone and thats what I did with this look. My favourite palette to use for any everyday face is the Naked 2 because it has a wide range of shades aka a lot of combinations to try out and wear or to pair with a different eyeshadow like the Birthday Suit, I've recently started wearing it again after finding it hidden in my makeup collect and rest assured I will not be forgetting it.

Hope you enjoyed this post, see you next time!
