Nars Sheer Matte Foundation Review.

Hey Guys!
Today I thought I would review a new favourite of mine, to think only a month or two ago I bought the Wake Me Up foundation, which I loved *and I would have reviewed but I think there is enough to get the gist that it is a good one* to now having a new favourite which my mum kindly gave me after not using it very much.
Nars Sheer Matte is the sister to Nars Sheer Glow which has been given great reviews, the main obvious difference is that this foundation has a matte finish. 'This foundation is an oil-free and has a soft matte finish with build-able coverage that controls shine throughout the day whilst evening the skin tone ' is the quotation of Sheer Matte from the Nars website, it also claims to be usable for normal-oily skin and contain powerful anti-oxidants against damaging free radicals and has turmeric extract to improve the skin's radiance and tone.
The first thing I like about this product is the packaging, Nars is well known for it's sleek and clean packaging which comes very appealing to a customer as it is in no way offensive or off putting, I also like how lightweight the foundation packaging is, it feels like you are holding nothing compared to other foundations I have come across, however a down side to the packaging is that it does not include a pump, therefore meaning you have to buy it separately.
As for it's wear, I am extremely pleased with Nars Sheer Matte, with a range of 20 shades to be matched with, I am positive that Gobi was a perfect match as it is as near to my actually complexion as I have found, I use my RT Buffing Brush as always to apply my liquid foundation and find it does a wonderful job of blending it well into the skin. I like that I do not need to apply too much foundation to my face as it gives a lovely medium coverage with just a small amount without looking cakey or false, I have also noticed that it pairs much better with my Bobbi Brown Corrector. The finish of this foundation is wonderful, quite perfect for me at the moment, as I like a good coverage with a natural glow to come with it, and this foundation has ticked that box, throughout the day I am left with a good even coverage as well as a hint of glow which looks natural without being too shiny or add too my more oily skin type.
The only things I can come to dislike about this foundation is not a surprise I'm sure, Nars price tag for this little beauty is £29.50 a go, not to mention the extra £3.00 for the foundation pump which I have yet to buy. This price tag puts me off it, once it is out of use/finished I'm not sure I will be purchasing it again as it is such a crunch, however being probably the best foundation I have tried yet in my make-up loving life will I give it up? To be honest I think when the time comes if I have the money to spare it will be mine once again!

Overall this is a positive review on the Nars Sheer Matte Foundation, the coverage, longevity and perfect match for me make this an absolute winner make-up wish..just not price wise!

Hope you enjoyed this post, and there are only 6 days left to enter my giveaway which you can find here!

  2. I really want this! Everyone raves about this and I always want a matte finish so I dont look oily - something my current foundation does without being set with powder. Ouch at the price tag though! If it's so brilliant then maybe it's worth it?

  8. I've read a few reviews where people struggled with application but I found, like you, that the Real Techniques brushes worked well. I also agree that it works really well with my Bobbi Brown Corrector.
The foundation does dry so quickly and so you do need the pump so you can pump out small amounts each time.
It is the most natural looking foundation I own, alongside Urban Decay Naked Skin.
